LIBERTY COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - An 18-year-old from Tallahassee has been hospitalized in serious condition after a T-bone crash in Liberty County.
The Florida Highway Patrol reports that the crash happened Thursday around 4:50 a.m. on State Road 20.
They say a Havana man was driving his 2008 Ford F-450 westbound S.R. 20 while Eddie Calloway, 18, of Tallahassee was attempting to make an illegal U-turn in his 2004 Chevy Pickup.
During the U-turn, troopers say Calloway's truck traveled into the Ford's path, causing it to T-bone Calloway's truck.
Calloway was seriously injured in the crash and taken to a hospital in Gadsden County. The driver of the Ford truck was uninjured in the crash.
Troopers do not believe the crash was alcohol-related.
They say Calloway will be charged with making an improper U-turn.
