TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Police Department held a news conference Thursday honoring sponsors for their Police Unity Tour Golf Tournament.
According to officials, Team Tallahassee was able to raise more than $40,000 for the National Law Enforcement Memorial.
"Today is just and important day to thank our sponsors for their continued support of the Police Unity Tour," said Rachelle Denmark, a public information officer for TPD. "It keeps the memories of our officers alive and it helps the families and it gives us a memorial to visit every year."
WTXL was among the many community sponsors for the golf tournament this year.
