Tallahassee, Fla. (WTXL) -- The Tallahassee Senior Center completed a series of workshops called "Telling My Stories."
Floridian author Kermit Brown hosted the series to a class of about twenty story tellers. His purpose is to preserve the first-hand accounts of history as told by people who may not consider themselves historians.
The first priority for their stories is for them to be passed down to their children. Still, he encourages the willing to publish.
Participants included the mother of a local judge. Brown's book "My Life in North Florida" is available at 14 bookstores statewide.
