TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Tech Start-up Week kicked off Monday morning in Tallahassee.

It's a five day conference to build momentum and opportunity around entrepreneurship, led by entrepreneurs themselves.

It started Monday morning with a panel discussion called "The Power, Profit and Purpose of Social Entrepreneurship."

It was led by the Institute for Nonprofit Innovation and Excellence.

Felina Martin, Executive Director of INIE, said workshops like these are important.

"It's important that those who are interested in becoming social entrepreneurs, that they have some great examples in front of them that have paved the way to give them some education and knowledge on how they would actually get started," said Martin.

Events continue all week long, and there's still time to register.
