TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)-- Tallahassee residents cooled off Saturday while celebrating the lives of two war heroes.
The 8th Annual Robinson-Trueblood Pool Reunion was held at the Lawrence Gregory Community Center Saturday.
The pool is named after Private Eddie Robinson and Corporal David Trueblood. Both soldiers were killed in the Korean war, but each year the community comes together to honor their legacy.
One resident of the area around the community center explained why he comes to the reunion each year.
Dr. Marvin Henderson said, "It's hallowed ground, meaning that a lot of people who have gone on to the great things in our country started right here in this community so it's a great thing for us to come together."
The reunion also featured a classic car exhibit and live entertainment.
