TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - On Saturday, April 18, 2015, the City of Tallahassee will host the biannual 'Cash for Trash' event. From 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the city will be taking household trash items that are too large to fit in a 96-gallon garbage container. They will accept the items at the Solid Waste Services facility on Municipal Way.
Customers who participate in the event will receive $5 off their next City of Tallahassee utility bill. To receive that credit, participants must have a utility bill with them before unloading the materials. Only one credit will be provided per utility bill.
