Tallahassee, Fl. (WTXL)—A Tallahassee resident escaped an early morning house fire on Feb. 24. The Tallahassee Fire Department extinguished the fire in the Killearn area. It happened around 4:45a.m. on Whirlaway Trail.
The homeowner told TFD they had noticed smoke from an electrical panel the night before. They were woken up by a passerby who saw the flames at 4:40a.m.
When firefighters arrived, they say the roof was on fire and the flames originated in the garage. The entire roof of the single story home was lost, and damages are estimated at $120,000. No one was injured.
