TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Tallahassee Police are setting up a safety and sobriety checkpoint on Friday.
On Friday, the Tallahassee Police Department will be hosting a safety and sobriety checkpoint in Tallahassee.
The checkpoint will run from 11:30 p.m. until 3:00 a.m. and will be in the 1600 block of North Monroe Street.
After that, officers with the Leon County DUI Strike Force will be patrolling throughout the city to find impaired drivers.
The checkpoint will be well marked by signage, marked patrol vehicles, and uniformed officers.
TPD says the operation is designed to have a minimal impact on traffic flow and to save lives.
