TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - A single car crash resulted in the death of a 21-year-old according to the Tallahassee Police Department.
Markel Dickey died in the 1900 Block of Portland Avenue after the car he was riding in struck a tree, says Police.
Police say the driver of the car, Lamare Davis Jr., was treated with non-life threatening injuries at a local hospital, no other injuries were reported in the crash.
In a statement Tallahassee Police Chief Michael J. DeLeo said, “Any time a young person is taken from us in a tragic accident, it effects the community as a whole. My thoughts and prayers are with the Dickey family as they persevere through this time of loss.”
