TALLAHASSEE, FL.(WTXL)-- Tallahassee Police held their Gun Buy-Back Event this weekend for people to return unwanted firearms. Donors even got a free gift card for participating.
Authorities say it is a great way to connect with the community, but also a chance to help cut down on crime by getting the guns off the street.
This program also kicks off Operation Safe Neighborhoods whose next event is a neighborhood walk at Piney Z Club House.
A total of 32 guns was reported to have been collected.
