Tallahassee Police Respond to Monday Afternoon Shooting

TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- Police responded to a report of a shooting in the area of Calloway and Alabama Street Monday after a witness called 911 to report hearing gunshots.

According to Officer Dave Northway, the shooting happened around 11:30am. Upon arrival, police found a male victim. Police said that he did not appear to have life-threatening injuries. However, he was taken to the hospital and is being treated for serious injuries, said police.

Investigators from TPD's Violent Crimes Unit and Forensic Specialists are interviewing witnesses and processing evidence for their investigation.
