TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- Tallahassee Police were involved in a stand-off with a suspect who held family members hostage Sunday afternoon.
According to police, a man in his 20's, who appeared to be under the influence of drugs, held family members hostage at a home on the 1600 block of Levy Ave.
Family members called 911 around 3:30 p.m., said police.
As of 4:40 p.m., everyone except the suspect was out of the home, said police.
The Tallahassee Police TAC team was on scene and negotiating with the suspect. He was taken into custody around 5:30 p.m., said police. There were no injuries reported during this incident.
The suspect, whose name has not yet been released, was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
There was also another incident on the 1500 block of Levy Ave at 3:30 pm. Police were involved in a chase with a wanted suspect. At this time we are still working to confirm more details about that incident.
