TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- The man who was shot and killed by a Tallahassee Police officer Wednesday evening has been identified as 64-year-old Garland Lee Wingo I.
TPD has also also named the officer involved as Zackari Jones. He has been with the department since June 2012.
Officer Jones has been placed on paid administrative, which is standard protocol.
The investigation into what led up to the shooting is still ongoing, anyone with with information is asked to call TPD at (850) 891-4200.
