TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Tuesday evening, the Tallahassee Police Department and the South Tallahassee Neighborhood Team are joining forces for National Night Out.
According to the Tallahassee Police Department, National Night Out is an event hosted by the National Association of Town Watch and was first created in 1984.
They say there are 34 million people who participate across the U.S. and that TPD has been participating since the early 1990s.
The Tallahassee event will be held at Jack McLean Park from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday.
TPD says its Community Relations Unit will be there to share security information for homes and businesses.
