TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - A Tallahassee Police officer, who was cleared by a grand jury in February for a shooting January 9th, is now back on administrative leave.

According to Tallahassee Police, Sergeant Brian Davis was put on paid administrative leave Friday afternoon, pending an internal affairs investigation.

In January, police say Davis shot at a car in Myers Park, thinking that the suspect in the murder of a Godby High School student was inside.

According to officers, Davis shot another man instead of the suspect.

Tallahassee Police has not said why Davis is on administrative leave, but they say it has nothing to do with January's shooting.
