Tallahassee police looking for leads after brawl sends 2 to hospital

TALLAHASSEE,  Fla. -- The Tallahassee Police Department is asking the public for help in their investigation of a fight that sent two men to the hospital.

The incident happened at 3:35 a.m. on Wednesday, October 9. Officers were called to 480 West Tennessee Street regarding an injured person. Further investigation revealed that the victim and suspect are possibly homeless.

Police say the suspect threatened the victim throughout the day, eventually locating him at 208 West Tennessee Street. The suspect reportedly told the victim he was going to kill him and a fight ensued, with both the victim and suspect receiving multiple wounds. The victim ran to the Shelter (480 West Tennessee Street) for help. The suspect ran to the Greyhound bus station and collapsed. Both the suspect and victim were transported to TMH with potentially life threatening injuries. After being evaluated at the hospital, officials determined the injuries were considered non-life threatening.

Investigators from the Criminal Investigation Division and Forensics responded to the crime scenes. Homicide Investigators are working diligently to interview all involved and process the evidence located on scene.
