Tallahassee, Fla. (WTXL) -- It's your chance to turn in guns with no questions asked.
This Saturday the Tallahassee Police Department will be collecting unwanted firearms. In return, you'll walk away with a gift card.
Officials say this is a great way to connect with the community but also a chance to help cut don on crime:
"Get to know us and get to know them. And just let them know that there can be trust built within the police department and the community. And it also helps strengthen as far as being able to curtail crime, suspicious activity and things like that in the community and around the city of Tallahassee", Officer Jeffery Ballard Sr.
The gun buy back program also kicks off Operation Safe Neighborhoods. The collection is this Saturday from 4:00p.m. to 8:00p.m.
