TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Police Department held an award ceremony Thursday, handing out 33 honors.
The awards recognized the outstanding accomplishments of officers and citizens who go "beyond the call" to make our community safe.
These individuals ranged from a dispatcher coordinating search efforts, hotel personnel saving a drowning child, and a man who saved his co-workers life after being shot.
The ceremony is held twice a year.
