TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)- The Tallahassee Police Department is now accepting applications for it's 2016 T.A.C. students summer academy.
The program is designed for high school students and is led by by police officers, investigators, and other distinguished professionals within the community.
The T.A.C. academy, which stands for "training, achievement, and confidence" hopes to instill students with the skills and knowledge to be leaders now and in the future.
It's a 5-day program, where students go through classes and then solve a mock crime scene investigation.
It will take place July 18-22nd from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Florida Public Safety Institute.
The class will be limited to 20 students for the summer academy and the process is competitive.
