TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Police Department swore in 15 new officers on Friday.

Police Chief Michael DeLeo performed the swearing in. He says the officers will continue to uphold the values of TPD to serve and protect the community.

Police Officer David Northway spoke at the event at city hall.

The men and women of TPD carry out a proud tradition and continue to serve the community as the 13th nationally accredited law enforcement agency in the country.

TPD also holds the designation of being the longest accredited law enforcement agency in the United States.
