TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)-- The Tallahassee Police Department is working toward ending hunger in the community.
They held their 25th Annual Echo Crop Walk and Food Drive Sunday at Lake Ella. In recent days, TPD turned its lobby into a donation center for all non-perishable food items. Officers also made home pickups for residents that pledged more than ten food items.
This year's crop walk goal was to raise more than $20,000 and collect 3,000 pounds of non-perishable food. About 800 people were at the event.
