TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Police Department is back with another fundraiser benefiting their Unity Tour for fallen officers.

For just $20, the department is selling one flat, that's 12 pints, of fresh strawberries grown in Plant City. This fundraiser benefits the Police Unity Tour.

The Unity Tour honors the lives and the families of fallen officers. The money raised goes towards taking that bicycle trip to the National Law Enforcement Memorial.

So why strawberries?

"Everybody loves strawberries, they are a very popular fundraiser" said Officer Rachelle Denmark with TPD. "Somebody's child was selling in school. It was very popular fundraiser that they did. Plant City isn't far. Those are world renowned strawberries so we just decided we would do a strawberry fundraiser."

You can contact a Unity Tour member or order online.

The last day to buy is March 5. Pick up is March 8 from 4 pm. to 6 p.m. at TPD.
