TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Tallahassee Police said that they arrested a man and a woman after a two and a half hour standoff in a house they broke in to.
The Tallahassee Police Department said that they responded to an alarm from a home on Chowkeebin Nene around midnight on Friday. When officers arrived, they found that a side door had been opened.
While searching around the home, they saw that there were two people inside.
Officers said that they surrounded the home and with a P.A. system, began giving commands for the suspects to come out. They did not come outside, instead placing a refrigerator in front of the side door.
For almost three hours, the Tallahassee Tactical team and other officers gave commands for them to come out, eventually succeeding when they exited around 2:30 a.m.
The two, TreVaughn Demarcus Bolton and Tamya Williams, were arrested and charged with burglary and criminal mischief. Williams also was charged with possession of burglary tools
