TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The growth of Tallahassee's Collegetown continues.
City officials are meeting to discuss more new developments headed to the area.
WTXL's Jada Williams joins us live from the Renaissance Center, where those officials will discuss the latest plans.
There are a lot of changes happening on Gaines Street and a lot more in store. But the majority of those changes involve more student housing.
This Monday morning, developers and city officials are coming together to review plans in the area.
Developers over at Park Place Tallahassee, the housing project replacing The Warehouse, will go before the Development Review Board.
Park Place Tallahassee would boast more than 500 bedrooms, but first the developer wants to make adjustments to zoning standards so that the building adds two stories and removes some trees.
Another student housing project, called Arive on Gaines, is also on the agenda.
Developers are bringing up their proposed 92-unit, 294-bedroom student housing structure that would replace the last few older buildings in the Collegetown area.
That meeting starts at 9 a.m. Monday at the Renaissance Center.
