TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Police Department thanked donors Tuesday who helped with the 2015 Police Unity Tour.
The annual tour is a 250-mile journey the department bikes to honor those who were killed in the line of duty. The department honored 12 groups that donated money to help make the tour happen.
One of the organizers for the tour is also the wife of an investigator. Megan Copelin says having the support of the community means a lot to her and her family.
"It shows me how much support and love there is. We pray every day that Daddy comes home safe from work, but I know if that day comes that we will have support and fellowship from all the other spouses and family members of fallen officers," said Copelin.
