TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A licensed practical nurse who was arrested for possession of child pornography over the summer has been sentenced to three years in prison.

Adam Reimer, 39, was arrested on 25 counts of possession of child pornography back in June. He was adjudicated guilty on all counts after pleading no contest on Nov. 30.

The court designated Reimer as a sex offender and sentenced him to 36 months in the Department of Corrections on one of the counts. For counts 2 - 25,  he was sentenced to 15 years of sex offender probation to be served concurrently with each other and consecutively with count 1.

Court documents say Reimer was facing up to 5 years per count for a total of 125 years in prison.

According to an arrest document, he was arrested after authorities reviewed files that were on his computer. They found 25 images, some of which depicted young children that appeared to be under the age of five.

Reimer, who worked as a licensed practical nurse (LPN) at a Tallahassee day care center for special needs children, was arrested at his job on June 22.

According to the Florida Department of Health, Reimer has been a LPN in Florida since 2005.

In 2011, Reimer was ordered to pay over $2,000 and participate in a intervention program after he tested positive for marijuana and hydrocodone during an employer-ordered drug test.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A licensed practical nurse who works at a local day care for special needs children has been arrested for possession of child pornography.

Adam Reimer, 39, was arrested on 25 counts of possession of child pornography.

According to an arrest document, the Leon County Sheriff's Office responded to a home on Baum Lane on June 18. The caller told them that she had discovered sexual abuse images on Reimer's laptop computer.

Documents say the caller noticed Remier's behavior changing over the last few months and said he seemed distant. The caller also noted that Reimer was very secretive and protective over his pink DELL computer.

According to the caller, Reimer worked as a licensed practical nurse (LPN) at CSI Special Care, a day care center for special needs children.

The caller, in an attempt to find out what was going on with Reimer, opened his laptop while he was at work. While looking through it, the caller discovered child pornography.

That's when she called law enforcement to turn over the laptop, a USB flash drive, and a MiFi hotspot device. When authorities reviewed the files, they found 25 images, some of which depicted young children that appeared to be under the age of five.

On June 22, deputies went to Reimer's job to ask him about what they had found. Documents say Reimer couldn't answer questions directly, saying that there were "pop ups" that appeared on his computer that he didn't like.

When asked if the "pop ups" contained adult or child pornography, Reimer replied he had seen both. As investigators pressed Reimer about the "pop ups" containing child pornography, he became nervous and walked away from the interview.

Based on the evidence, Reimer was arrested.

According to the Florida Department of Health, Reimer has been a LPN in Florida since 2005.

In 2011, Reimer was ordered to pay over $2,000 and participate in a intervention program after he tested positive for marijuana and hydrocodone during an employer-ordered drug test.
