TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Officials with the City of Tallahassee are trying to do more to regulate loud music and noise coming from bars and outdoor venues in the area, including the newly constructed Cascades Park Amphitheatre.

Tuesday night the city officials and businesses gathered to discuss what can be done to find a resolution to the noise issue.

City officials proposed "The Sound Ordinance Advisory Group". The group will include neighborhood leaders, representatives from local colleges and business owners. The group will evaluate what type of regulations should be in place throughout the city.

According to Tallahassee City Commissioner Scott Maddox, "Right now we are pointing a study group that is made up of business owners and neighborhood leaders in effected areas to help us come up with the proper noise ordinance. We have to learn how to coexist and that's what this committee is about and hopefully we'll have a product that will make everyone happy."

Construction of Cascades Park has brought a lot of the discussion to life within the community.

The venue at Cascades Park holds several concerts which will pose a problem.
