TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Tallahassee has ranked fourth on GoFundMe’s 2018 list of the most generous cities in America.
GoFundMe released their annual Year in Giving report on Thursday. The release highlights data, top fundraisers, trends and the most inspirational movements that took place on GoFundMe this year.
Two Florida cities, Tallahassee and Gainesville, secured spots on GoFundMe’s list as this year, more than ever, people turned to GoFundMe to take action and support causes they care about.
According to the report, Tallahassee organizers created fundraisers benefiting “family” and “sports” including fueling a family's adoption dreams, rebuilding the Bradfordville Blues Club, and helping a PeeWee football team attend the championship game.
The most generous cities in America, based on donations per capita on GoFundMe are:
