TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - It is never too early to think about Halloween and the Tallahassee Museum's deadline is approaching to be a part of the Halloween Trail Build Out Challenge at the museum.
The Halloween event is usually put together by volunteers but after more than 20 years of the event, the museum wants to add the community by building the trail.
There will be up to 15 applicants chosen to help build the trail for the museum's largest fundraiser of the year.
It is very significant to us not just for the funding purposes, but also because it helps bring community in and get them more engaged with things we are doing," said Natasha Hartsfield, Vice President of Programs at the Tallahassee Museum. "It is definitely one of the most exciting Halloween events in Tallahassee. A lot of people look forward to it."
The winner of the scariest part of the trail will win $1,500.
Applications are due by August 31 at 5 p.m.
