TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)--Tallahassee's Midtown neighborhood got a new look over the weekend. A new mural welcoming visitors to the area was painted.

The mural is part of a series of projects intended to identify and highlight Tallahassee's landmarks, special-interest districts like Midtown and the city's other hidden treasures.

The "See Tallahassee" campaign includes murals, artistic maps, and an interactive website.

"We want both visitors, residents and college to know that Tallahassee has a lot to offer. I know the hidden gems but a lot of people don't. We want to get people out of the district they live and the district they work and into the other districts of the city so although we're trying to identify the each district we also want to unite those districts," said Alana Taylor, one of the mural coordinators.

The Midtown Mural is the first of 10 and highlights the area's cant-miss landmarks.
