TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Students with the MAPP program at Florida State University are introducing mayoral candidates to the community while helping the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of the Big Bend.

The Masters of Applied American politics and Public Policy introduces students to the world of politics.

On Thursday, John Dailey, Dustin Daniels, Michelle Rehwinkle Vasilinda and Carrie Litherland will join those students.

The partnership idea came about after the classes professor tasked them with doing a charity event that introduces the community to the MAPP program.

A question and answer will also take place to help get people acquainted with those candidates.

It starts Thursday at 7 p.m.
