TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Tallahassee mayor Andrew Gillum helped collect donated toys Sunday to give to local children for the holidays.

The Office of the Mayor's annual toy drive and holiday party was held at the FAMU Grand Ballroom. Gillum was joined by his wife R. Jai and community advocate and fellow Rattler Darryl Jones.

People stopped by to drop off several kinds of toys, including bikes, stuffed animals, and action figures. Gillum says they're all going to more than 500 kids in the community.

The toys will be given away on December 20 and 21.
