CALHOUN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A Tallahassee man was killed after he was ejected from his car in a two-vehicle accident in Calhoun County Friday evening.
Lowery Croom Jr., 44, died from his injuries sustained in the accident.
Florida Highway Patrol said the accident happened at about 4:18 p.m. on State Road 20 at Northwest Tallahassee Boulevard.
According to FHP, Croom was driving westbound on State Road 20 and the other car was traveling eastbound.
FHP states Croom traveled across the center line and hit the other car.
FHP said as Croom's car began to spin, he was ejected from his car.
The other car spun before overturning onto its roof.
FHP said the driver and two passengers in the other car suffered minor injuries.
FHP states everyone involved in the accident were wearing their seatbelts.
According to FHP, they don't know at this time if alcohol played a role in Croom driving over the center line.
FHP states charges are pending.
FHP was assisted on scene by the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office, Calhoun County EMS and the Clarksville-Carr Volunteer Fire Department.
