CHATTAHOOCHEE, FL (WTXL) - A Gadsden County jury found a Tallahassee man guilty of first degree murder and aggravated battery with a firearm following an April 2013 shooting at CJ'S Lounge.
28-year-old Sterling Johnson was killed in that shooting, after being shot 7 times, including 3 times in the back, according to court documents.
Witnesses say they saw 27-year-old Willie Westbury open fire as he was walking towards the victim, and then continue to shoot at him while he was on the ground, according to the courts.
Officials say another man was shot in the leg during the incident.
Westbury is scheduled to be sentenced for the charges on March 1.
He faces a mandatory life sentence for the murder and could face life in prison on the aggravated battery charge.
