TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A 22-year-old man has been arrested, accused of uploading at hundreds of files containing child pornography to a Dropbox account.

Cody Davis, 22, was arrested on Wednesday.

An investigators with the Tallahassee Police Department and Leon County Sheriff's Office got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) back in August that someone with an IP address located in Tallahassee uploaded multiple child pornography files to a Dropbox account.

According to a probable cause document, the tip included 50 files of sexually explicit material involving children.

A search of the Dropbox account revealed the account contained hundreds of files which investigators determined to be "child sexual abuse material."

Investigators write Dropbox records showed upwards of 28,000 files were uploaded to the account between May 2016 and June 2017, though they have not determined exactly how many of those files contain child pornography.

Through further investigation, authorities were able to determine that the owner of the Dropbox account in question was Cody Davis, a Tallahassee resident.

Davis was charged with 50 counts of possession of child pornography. He remains in the Leon County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
