Tallahassee Man Dies After Car Hits His Motorcycle

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A Tallahassee man has died after a car hit his motorcycle this weekend.

It happened just after 3 p.m. Saturday on State Road 363, just north of State Road 267 in Wakulla County.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, 22-year-old John Evans was driving his car northbound when he crossed into the other lane, hitting 54-year-old Glenn Eccles head-on. Eccles was thrown from his motorcycle. The accident report states he was not wearing a helmet.

Eccles was taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Evans is being charged with DUI Manslaughter, Possession of a Control Substance Without a Prescription and Paraphernalia.
