TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) --Tallahassee police arrested a man on hundreds of child porn charges.
The Leon County Daily Booking report lists that 26-year-old Aivaras Mardosas was charged with 889 counts of possessing child porn.
Court documents show that police began investigating Mardosas on October 2, 2014. A search warrant was signed on December 8th, which allowed investigators to use undercover surveillance video at the home.
Investigators seized a laptop and hard drive from his home on the 1500 block of Blounstown Street in December. Authorities used a peer to peer file sharing program BitTorrent to connect to Mardosas' computer.
Mardosas was arrested Thursday and booked into the Leon County Jail. His only other past offense was a reckless driving charge back in 2012.
