TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - A man was arrested for an armed bank robbery that took place in June, according to the Leon County Sheriff's Office.

Allen Cooper was taken into custody on Thursday for the June 26 armed robbery at the Capital City Bank on Capital Circle Northwest, according to court documents.

Court documents say that Cooper walked up to a bank teller, pass a note demanding $7,500 with the money bans removed and a message "not to be a hero and no one will get hurt," or he would "shoot her in the face."

Cooper placed a bag on the counter and showed the teller a black semi-automatic handgun, according to documents. The teller gave Cooper the money in her drawer amounting to $3,200. Cooper placed the money in his bag and left; the teller then told another teller who pressed the panic button and police were called.

Authorities say they were able to identify Cooper by his fingerprints found on the note he gave to the teller. Once they were able to match Cooper to the fingerprints it was discovered he owned a vehicle the matched the description of the car seen arriving and leaving the scene.

Cooper is being charged with Armed Robbery with a Firearm.
