TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Police say that they have arrested a man after they found him sitting naked at the intersection of Capital Circle SW and Tennessee Street.
Daniel Jeffs, 38, was arrested on Tuesday around 10:30 p.m.
According to an arrest report filed by the Tallahassee Police Department, they were called to the intersection of Capital Circle SW and Tennessee Street about a naked man lying on the ground.
The complainant told officers that the man had stripped his clothes off in front of the Dodge dealership on Tennessee Street and was continuing to walk around naked.
When officers arrived they found the man, later identified as Jeffs, sitting on the ground. An officer wrote in the report that "Jeffs' shorts, shirt, and shoes were approximately 10 feet from his person."
The report says that Jeffs' genitals were fully exposed to passing traffic in the area.
When they spoke with him, Jeffs told them that he was not under the influence and was not diagnosed with any type of mental disorder.
According to the report, officers told Jeffs to put his clothes back on and handcuffed him. They write that Jeffs then told them that he was trying to masturbate while he was sitting there, though officers did not see him doing so while on scene.
A search of Jeffs' criminal history revealed that he has been arrested twice for being naked in public before Tuesday's arrest.
Jeffs was taken to the Leon County Jail and remains there on a $2,500 bond.
