TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - A Tallahassee man has been arrested, following an investigation from Leon County Deputies stemming back to February and March of this year.
According to the Leon County Sheriff's Office, Jimmy Ferguson was arrested Thursday for impersonating a Tallahassee Police officer, as well as robbing a prostitute.
The sheriff's office says Ferguson responded to an online advertisement from a prostitute, and when he met with her, he told her he was a police officer, saying she could get arrested.
Ferguson was arrested and charged with robbery with a firearm, as well as impersonating an officer.
Impersonating an officer can carry a sentence of nearly 15 years.
