TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A 22-year-old man has been arrested on drug and weapon charges after police say he was shooting at a car leaving College Club Townhomes.
The Tallahassee Police Department says they have arrested Raheem Cooke.
According to court documents, several officers were dispatched to College Club Apartment on Monday around 7:52 p.m.
When they arrived, they spoke with a witness who told them that a man was firing a gun towards Orange Avenue. The witnesses said that the man fired three quick shots, fired by a pause, then fired three more.
The witness told police that the man had ran into an apartment after the shooting. Eventually, police were able to find what apartment the man had ran into and detained Cooke and two other residents inside.
When officers searched Cooke's room, they found two large mason jars containing marijuana packed for sale, a large zip lock bag with a large amount of marijuana inside, an electronic scale, .40 caliber handgun, a magazine and ammunition.
In total, police found more than 90 grams of marijuana in Cooke's room.
When interviewed, Cooke admitted to officers that he had been selling marijuana when he fired his gun at an unknown man.
As a result of the investigation, Cooke was charged with carrying a concealed firearm while unlicensed, improper display of a firearm, discharging a firearm in public, possession of marijuana over 20 grams, possession of marijuana with intent to sell within 1000 feet of a school or place of worship, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Cooke remains in jail on a $18,500 bond.
