TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A Tallahassee man charged with 421 counts of child pornography is set to be sentenced today.
From October 2014 to December 2015, police investigated Aivaras Mardosas.
On Dec. 8, 2015, investigators seized a laptop and hard drive from his home on the 1500 block of Blounstown Street.
Authorities say they used a peer to peer file sharing program BitTorrent to connect to Mardosas' computer and found that he had downloaded hundreds of pieces of child pornography to include video, images, cartoons, and drawings.
As a result, Mardosas is facing 421 counts of aggravated child pornography.
The maximum sentence Mardosas could serve for his crimes is 6,315 years (max. penalty time of 15 years for each count).
Mardosas entered a not guilty plea to the charges in 2015. He is set to be sentenced on Thursday.
