TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)- A man is facing attempted murder charges after Tallahassee police say he shot a man during a drug deal earlier this month.
The victim, Emmett Reid, told police he was at an apartment complex on the 2700 block of West Tharpe St., to sell Marlon Moore marijuana on April 3.
Police say Moore got into Reid's car in the apartment complex's parking lot and showed him a small handgun and demanded Reid give him the marijuana and his wallet.
Before leaving the car, police say Moore shot Reid in the stomach.
Police say they were able to track Moore down through the phone number Reid had used to set up the drug deal.
In addition to attempted murder Moore is charged with attempted robbery with a firearm.
