TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - A Tallahassee man is arrested after leading police on a chase in a stolen car across the Capital City Wednesday evening.
According to Tallahassee Police, just after 6pm, the owner of a White Buick Enclave, which was reported stolen the day after Christmas, saw her car and called police.
According to officers, she follower her car, as it drove to the area near 9th Avenue and Terrace Street, near Thomasville Road. That's where a patrol car tried to stop the Buick, but the driver refused to stop.
At some point, officers say the driver put the car in reverse and struck the marked patrol car, a vehicle being driven by a passerby. and an unmarked police car, as it tried to flee the area. No one was injured.
Officers then caught up with the driver at Clark Avenue and Seminole Drive. That's where, police say, the Buick crashed.
Tallahassee Police say a driver and a passenger fled from the car. They caught the driver, 22-year-old Rashad Long. According to officers, Long was injured and taken to the hospital, but has since been released and booked into the Leon County Jail.
Police are still looking for the passenger in the stolen car. Officers say the passenger is a black female, approximately 5'6" tall, and wearing a plaid shirt.
