TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A Tallahassee man is out on bond after being arrested for sexually assaulting a minor at a local Motel 6.

Kelvin Youmas, 33, was arrested on Friday for felony sexual battery.

According to probable cause documents, the 17-year-old victim called 911 just after midnight on Thursday to report the incident. The victim told dispatch that "she had just been raped, jumped out of the moving suspect vehicle, and did not know where she was."

When officers arrived, they found the victim who said that the suspect had invited the victim to hang out and brought the victim to the Motel 6 on Apalachee Parkway where he sexually assaulted the victim.

On the way back, the victim and the suspect, later identified as Youmas, got into an argument. The victim told investigators that Youmas got angry and said, "I'm not going back to jail," and started to punch the victim in the head.

Documents say the victim, in an effort to escape, jumped out of the moving car and called 911. Through an investigation, police were able to establish probable cause to arrest Youmas.

Arrest documents say Tallahassee Police officers got a tip that Youmas was working at the Whataburger on Apalachee Parkway on Thursday so they responded to the location.

They say Youmas was arrested without incident and was transported to the Leon County Detention Facility on sexual battery (first degree felony) and battery (misdemeanor) charges.

Youmas was released from jail the next day on a $51,000 bond.
