TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Leon County and Tallahassee city leaders held a table-top meeting Monday afternoon about how to improve life in the community.
Mayor John Dailey said this was the first time in at least 25 years where city, county, and school board leaders met in a joint meeting.
The meeting included topics like re-development opportunities as well as creating more jobs for residents.
Commissioner Chairman Jimbo Jackson said this is a great opportunity for all the leaders to come together and and be on the same page going into 2019.
"We are more than happy to meet and talk about common initiatives but also how to reach the same goals," said Jackson. "People want jobs, people want economic opportunities, people want to start small businesses, people need job training opportunities for some of our common skilled labor jobs."
Mayor Dailey said he hopes to continue these joint meetings between the city, county, and the school board.
