TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL and AP)-- The Tallahassee League of Women Voters says gun stores across Florida are not following an important law.
The league says gun shops in Florida need to be more vigilant about displaying warnings that it's illegal for gun buyers to store weapons within easy reach of minors and it is illegal to sell a gun to a minor or person of unsound mind. The league says its members conducted a survey of 30 stores from Tallahassee to Miami and found that the majority of the stores surveyed are not displaying the signs, which is a violation of Florida law and is considered a second degree misdemeanor.
