TALLAHASSEE, Fla.(WTXL) - The "Kind Campaign" plans to take on bullying in Tallahassee one step at a time. The club consist of a group of young girls ages 6 to 13 to discuss the importance of not just being kind in the community, but also to those at home.
The non-profit organization stated in November of 2014, Mandy O' Callaghan, president of the campaign said she brought the national initiative to the capital city in order to create a support network in the community for young girls, to help them cope with bullying, learn how to recognize it, prevent it, and address it.
Callaghan also said "they know that this is a safe zone where they can come to these meetings, they can support and be kind to one another, they can hear other stories by girls that are experiencing the same things and that gives them strength and confidence."
Any girl living in Tallahassee or the surrounding areas can join, the organization meets every second Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at the Southwood Community Center.
