TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - In light of terror attacks over the weekend, we spoke with Tallahassee International Airport about their security changes when terror attacks like in New York and New Jersey happen.
Aviation Director Chris Curry at TLH said that they are always in contact with homeland security and monitor all international and national threats. Curry also said that the change their security posture on a continuous basis.
Regardless of whether or national or international attack is aviation related, Curry said that airports still take precautions.
"We're always in contact with Homeland Security to get the latest information. Some of those threats apply to aviation, but we're also concerned with those that do not apply to aviation. So our posture is the same until homeland security changes our threat level," said Curry.
Passengers at the airport said while the news of this weekend's terror attacks is jarring, it has not deterred them from traveling.
Elaine Follis said, "You know I hate to hear that people got hurt, I'm glad its not any worse then it was. It doesn't make me uncomfortable, I feel that the security here does a good job so I'm not one bit apprehensive."
TLH has also offered passengers tips on their website on how to stay safe and aware when using their airlines.
