TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Airport Director Chris Curry has resigned from his position at Tallahassee International Airport (TLH).
The City of Tallahassee announced that David Pollard, Deputy Director of Aviation, will serve as interim director following Curry's resignation.
Curry submitted his resignation to the City Wednesday, Sept. 20, after accepting a position with the Mobile Airport Authority in Alabama.
“We wish Chris the best in his future endeavors and appreciate his contributions to the many accomplishments that our community’s airport has made in recent years,” Tallahassee City Manager Ricardo Fernandez said. "During his tenure, we achieved international status and improved the customer experience through a variety of facility upgrades, which will continue to benefit TLH travelers."
Curry began serving as the Director of Aviation on January 22, 2014, and will continue working at TLH until his effective resignation date of October 12.
“Thank you very much for the opportunity to lead the International Airport and to work with you over the past year. I have enjoyed working for the City and appreciate the support provided me during my tenure with the Airport,” Curry wrote.
The City will immediately begin the process of searching for a new airport director.
